Grid vs. Shared Hosting

What’s changing for my current Grid service(s) now that Media Temple has launched a new Shared Hosting product?

Nothing is changing with your current Grid service at this time. You will still have the same service and support.

Where can I find the Grid page on the Media Temple website?

Since Media Temple has a new Shared Hosting service, the Grid page is no longer on the website.

How can I purchase a new Grid instance? I don't see any Grid option in my Account Center or on the site.

If you are an existing Grid customer, and you would like to adjust or purchase an additional Grid plan, you can call 310-841-5500, option 2.

Should I get the new Media Temple Shared Hosting instead of staying on Grid?

If you are an existing Grid customer, please call us so we can better understand your needs and help determine together which product is the best fit for you. Please contact 310-841-5500, option 2 to speak with one of our team members. Only existing Grid customers can purchase new instances of Grid.

Is there a migration offer to get my Grid plan onto a new Shared Hosting plan?

Not at this time.

Will I still be able to access the current Grid Knowledge Base articles?


What will happen with my Grid pricing?

It stays the same.

Are there any changes to the way I upgrade and downgrade my Grid service?

Yes. Since Grid is no longer available through the Account Center, you will need to contact Sales Support to for any change of Grid service plans at 310-841-5500, option 2.
