Overview

The following guide will show you how to create a catch-all email alias.

CAUTION

  • It is important to note that adding a catch-all email alias has been known to produce more spam.
  • It is also advisable that you do not forward a catch-all to an external email address.

Instructions for the Grid

  1. To get started, log into the (mt) Media Temple Account Center at https://ac.mediatemple.net.
    417_AC_login
  2. Once logged in, you will see your account "Overview". Click on the "Admin" button for your Grid.
    417_2
  3. That will take you to your Grid Control Panel, shown below:
    417_3
  4. Next, select Email Aliases & Forwarders.

    417_4

  5. Once you are on the Email Aliases page, select "Add New".
    417_5
  6. This will open up a new page in which you can create a new email alias. Please note the items underlined in orange below. Since our objective is to create a catch-all, you will want to leave the box on the left blank.

  7. If you like, you may configure an auto-reply here.

  8. Once all of the appropriate fields have been filled in, click "Save".
    417_8
  9. You will be alerted once more to the fact that you are creating a catch-all. Click OK if you would like to proceed.
