Overview
Cyberduck is an open-source application used for FTP and SFTP on Windows and Mac OS X. It can be used to connect to Amazon Web Services Simple Storage Service (S3). The first thing you need to do is download a copy at cyberduck.io. Please follow the installation steps to install the application on your computer.
The following tutorial is provided as a courtesy to our customers to help you configure your Cyberduck software to work with (mt) Media Temple's hosting solutions.
Third-party software can not be supported directly by (mt) Media Temple. If you have further questions about configuring Cyberduck, please visit https://trac.cyberduck.io/wiki/help/en.
Requirements
Before you start, be sure you have these handy:
- Bucket name: Full name of the S3 bucket you are connecting to. This can be found in your AWS Console under Services > S3.
- Access Key ID: Access Key ID with permissions for this bucket.
- Secret Access Key: Secret Access Key with permissions for this bucket.

Instructions
Once Cyberduck is installed, we can create a bookmark.
- Click on the "+" symbol at the bottom left corner to create a bookmark.
- Click the top bar and select "Amazon S3" as the connection type
- Change "Path" to the bucket name and click the red "X" button in the top left corner to save the bookmark.
- Double click on the bookmark to open a connection.
- Input the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key then click "Login."
