2019: A Year of Empowering Creativity

If there’s one thing that captures what we look to accomplish each year, it’s our newly defined vision: “To Empower Creativity.”
2019 was a year of doing exactly that. We introduced new programs and updated existing products, all based on your feedback and with the aim of making it easier to get (and keep) innovative work up-and-running.
Here are a few of the highlights:

Site Redesign

We updated our site to better reflect the creative work powered by our products. The expressive visual design is built on a modular Craft CMS framework, allowing us to iterate more quickly.

Expanding Support for Amazon Web Services

Managed Services for AWS continued to grow, adding more services to its portfolio and allowing our clients to do more with the cloud.  Enhanced security through Amazon GuardDuty delivers better threat detection and monitoring. AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF) protects web applications from vulnerability exploits like bad bots, cross-site scripting, and DDoS attacks. And we’ve made Secure Shell (SSH) key management more flexible with the choice to manage your SSH keys in AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) or through GitHub.

Advanced Support

Our CloudTech team became Advanced Support – still dedicated to removing the burden of setup and ongoing maintenance of VPS hosting. With the change came some tweaks to the plan, making the service more accessible and useful to more users. Perhaps most noteworthy, an Advanced Support subscription now includes the Media Temple Security Pack giving you multiple layers of protection from malicious traffic and exploits.

Security Pack Improvements

The number of malicious actors on the web only increases, so we decided to bolster your defenses with revisions to our Security Pack. On top of including a Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Content Delivery Network (CDN) in all plans, we lowered prices and introduced a single-site option. These new security tools make it easier than ever to secure your Grid, Managed WordPress, and DV Managed services.
