Understanding your Yearly Credit: (gs) Incident #754

In keeping to our commitment to service accountability, we are offering a year's worth of hosting credit to our customers affected by System Incident #754. This credit holds no expiration date, and may be applied toward any existing or future services on your active account. We value your continued loyalty to Media Temple and appreciate the patience you have shown during this time.

Incident Credit FAQ

  • Q: Am I eligible for this credit? This offer extends to any account that had an active (gs) Grid-Service on Cluster.02 between 2009/05/04 and 2009/05/11. You may have already received an email confirming your eligibility.
  • Q: How do I redeem my credit? The credit will be applied to your account as (mt) Store Credit in the amount of $200.00, the yearly rate for a (gs) Grid-Service. Your credit can be claimed by opening a Support Request from your AccountCenter or contacting our Sales Department.
  • Q: Has my credit been applied? You can check the Billing Snapshot section on the Account Overview page when you first log into your AccountCenter. It will also be listed under Billing->Balances & Statements.
  • Q: I have received the credit. How can I use it? Any recurring charges for existing services on your account will be deducted from the credit amount. To use this credit for new services or add-ons, please contact our Sales Department.
  • Q: Can I just use my credit for existing services? Sure. Any upcoming charges to your account will be subtracted from your total balance.
  • Q: Why are you only offering $200 in credit when a year of (gs) hosting is actually worth $240? This is a hosting credit that will cover the cost of one (gs) Grid-Service on a yearly pre-pay plan, currently valued at $200. If you are currently on a monthly payment cycle you will still receive a full year of hosting credit.
  • Q: What if I want the year's credit right now? In order for this to be handled seamlessly for you, please open a Support Request from your (mt) AccountCenter. Please use Incident #754: I want my service to be yearly now as your subject. Your request will be routed to our Billing Department to perform this service term change.
  • Q: What if I add a new service that has a Money Back Guarantee? If you choose to close any service that has a Money Back Guarantee, we will apply this credit back to your account. For more information, please read our Money Back guarantee terms and conditions.
  • Q: What if I consolidate accounts? What if I transfer my account to someone else? If you are consolidating accounts, then the credit would follow you to the destination account. If you are removing yourself as the Account Owner please open a Support Request stating you are leaving your remaining credit to the new owner.
  • Q: Will I receive a refund if I leave Media Temple and still have remaining credit? This credit is not redeemable for cash. Any amount you do not use stays on your closed account and cannot be refunded similar to other payment methods.
  • Q: I just heard about this credit now. Do I still qualify? Yes. Please open a Support Request in your AccountCenter or you can can contact us by phone. We will honor your request.
