(mt) + The Noun Project: Ideas Iconathon

Our friends at The Noun Project have conducted Iconathons all around the country, from NYC and L.A. to D.C., S.F., and more. On Monday, March 11, we’ll be teaming up to bring this innovative, collaborative design event to Austin.
What’s an Iconathon, you ask? It’s a public design workshop, meant to add new sets of symbols to the public domain. (Think of it like a hackathon, but for design.) Previous Iconathons have created icon sets for concepts like “Bully,” “Disaster Preparedness,” and “Investigative Journalism.” In this two-hour workshop, we’ll be working together to create a new set of icons to illuminate the world of “Ideas.”
So if you have an interest in art, design, or iconography—or good ideas, or beer, for that matter—and you’re planning on being in Austin on March 11, come join us! No design or art skills needed; The Noun Project’s Iconathons are meant to engage everyone in the design process, so don’t be shy.
