Great ideas come in many forms. So far, we’ve highlighted some innovative web companies in part 1 and part 2 of “People We Support at SXSW”. Now we’re deep into SXSW Music, celebrating the prolific artists shaping the music industry.
The music business just ain’t what it used to be. This film follows the legal battle between Jared’s band 30 Seconds To Mars and their label, all while recording their album “This Is War.” Artifact was screened in theaters across SXSW and Jared did an interview in a featured session at the Convention Center.

(mt) is proud to host this group of talented musicians and official U.S. State Dept. Cultural Ambassadors. These “culture-mashers” have been recording & touring for 18 years. It’s tough to pin down a genre for this band, but you will always find yourself moving to their grooves. They have 5 official SXSW showcases lined up for 2013.
Justin Timberlake - Myspace Secret Show
This guy almost doesn’t need a description. You know who he is, you know what he does, and you probably know why he is playing the Myspace secret show. His performance will bring this year’s SXSW Music to a close.

Wanderu was one of the 6 SXSW Interactive Accelerator grand prize winners! The service provides a simple way to book trips on buses and trains, connecting low-budget travelers with affordable transportation.
They took home the top prize for Innovative Web Technologies, which has previously been won by companies like Siri and Hipmunk. Congratulations!
