Logo Configurations

The (mt) Media Temple logo is the official identifying mark for the company. It is the single most visible and recognizable element of its overall brand image. Correct and consistent usage will preserve this identity from a branding and legal standpoint.

The (mt) symbol and logotype together form the (mt) Media Temple logo which may appear in one of two approved configurations, vertical or horizontal, depending on its specific application. The logo is stringently proportioned. Under no circumstances can the size, relationship and positions of the two elements be changed.

Color

Black version - Use on lighter colored backgrounds.

Reverse version - Use on darker colored backgrounds.

Clear Space

To enhance it's visual effectiveness, proper margin (clear space) allowances around the (mt) Media Temple Inc. logo must be maintained. The "x" height of the logotype was chosen as the standard unit of measure for calculating clear space and other size and positioning requirements. The logo should be separated on all sides from all other copy, photos, or illustrations by a clear margin area of at least one "x" height measurement as shown above. When using the vertical version of the logo an additional 1/2 "x" should be used for the bottom margin so that the logotype is not crowded by other design elements. This guideline is a minimum, often greater space is desirable.

Incorrect Usage

Maintaining the integrity of the (mt) Media Temple corporate identity through consistent and proper use is essential in building brand awareness. The following illustrations are logo treatments to be avoided.

Improper scaling or placement of the logotype, different type treatments, usage of the colored logo on a colored or dark background, and custom visual effects like drop shadows or inner bevels are a few examples of incorrect usage of the (mt) Media Temple inc. logo.
