Media Temple Table Tennis Invitational IV - Recap

Seasons come and go but one thing gets better and better, one season after another: Our Table Tennis Invitational. On June 13, 64 teams descended on SPiN in Downtown Los Angeles to fight for the right to be crowned champion.

Summer came early to Los Angeles as the competition ran hot across each of the table tennis tables. Creative agencies, studios and designers from all across the greater Los Angeles area brought well-practiced forehands and meticulous costumes. Prince and David Bowie teamed up to be heroes (just for one day) and made an impressive run up the standings while the Shogun Sho Nuff was back on the scene with karate chops to slow down a toga party and a group of Viking raiders from ascending to the final table.

The deep pool of talent meant almost every match went to the deciding point. The tournament went deep into the night with two Loot Crate teams emerging as the finalists. Inevitably, the winning trophy went to… Loot Crate, who also got to take home some cool Media Temple swag bags alongside a donation to Teens Exploring Technology, a Los Angeles non-profit that uses technology as a tool to promote positive to youth development and leadership in urban communities. Congratulations to them!
Thanks again to all those who attended and made this one of our best tournaments yet. Check out some of the photos below (and on our Facebook page)!
