20 Years of Media Temple – ’14 – Today

Thanks for coming along with us as we looked back through 20 years of Media Temple history. Let’s take a look in the past few years…

2014 – Shifting our aesthetic from servers and data centers and towards our customers, Media Temple bravely rolls out both a redesigned website and Account Center (beta, at the time). A nearly two year project, the roll out was met with almost universal acclaim and instilled the iconic “Media Temple aesthetic” that is often imitated but never replicated.

2014 (pt 2) – You knew about Grid and DV. Meet Managed WordPress. Realizing that the world’s most popular CMS needed a top notch, fully managed hosting solution to really make it fly, Media Temple launches their developer-ready Managed WordPress offering. With staging environments, automatic updates, and automatic security + backups, and more, it quickly becomes an essential tool for creatives worldwide.

2015 – Recognizing a growing need for a new way of leveraging the cloud for our customers, Media Temple offers their first managed services offering for the world’s leader in cloud hosting, Amazon Web Services (AWS). Before launch, the Media Temple team was able to achieve Advanced Consulting Partner status with AWS, a status that often takes companies over a year of business to achieve. And since then, we’ve kept our product on the forefront of technology and top-notch service.

2017 – Our 17th year at SXSW Interactive was also our tenth year hosting the Closing Party. Can we go so far as to say it was a decade of greatness? Our closing party has been a veritable who’s who of the music industry, showcasing artists such as Steve Aoki, Richie Hawtin, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Pennywise, 2Chainz, Ludacris, and many more.

2018 – Few companies last a decade, fewer still make it through two. Media Temple sees the dawn of its third decade on the planet from the view of their Los Angeles offices as we celebrated our 20th year as the company of choice for web hosting.
